Why ServeLocal exists
A simpler way to find the people and organizations who need your help.
ServeLocal was founded by Slater Boms, a sophomore at Choate Rosemary Hall, after she experienced firsthand how difficult it could be to find meaningful local volunteer opportunities.
After reaching out to dozens of nonprofit organizations in the area, Slater recognized a broader need: a better way to connect people with organizations and opportunities in their communities. ServeLocal was created to bridge that gap, making it easier for individuals to discover volunteer opportunities that align with their interests and passions. ServeLocal was also designed to help organizations connect with a broader community and find the help that they need.
At its heart, ServeLocal is about making community engagement more accessible. Slater hopes the platform will inspire more people to get involved, discover causes they care about, and make a meaningful difference in their communities.
