The Diaper Bank of Connecticut

The Diaper Bank of Connecticut was one of the first organizations in the country to recognize diaper need as a public-health issue. Diapers cannot be purchased with SNAP or WIC benefits, leaving many low-income families unable to afford an adequate supply — a problem linked to health complications and parental stress.

From its North Haven warehouse, the Diaper Bank distributes millions of diapers, period products, and other basic necessities each year through a network of partner agencies across the state. It also advocates at the state and national level for policy solutions to basic-needs insecurity.

Volunteers sort, count, and wrap diapers and period supplies for distribution to partner organizations.
