Farm Animal Caretaker

Welcome to the Environmental Learning Center of Connecticut!- "Inspiring an appreciation for, and enjoyment of nature, through education and conservation, fostering a healthy environment and an improved quality of life". We are looking for responsible animal lovers to assist with the care of our Farm Animals. Indian Rock Nature Preserve is the educational component of Environmental Learning Centers of Connecticut, and showcases a demonstration farm with sheep, cow, pig, chicken and turkey. IRNP is looking for volunteers age 14 and up to help care for our animals which would include offering food and fresh water daily, cleaning stalls and pens and enrichment. Volunteer hours can be used for educational requirements for SAE and community service. WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SUNDAY MORNING 2 shifts available: Morning Animal Farm Care includes opening the Indian Rock Education Farm. The timeframe that you are here is flexible.: 07:00 to 09:00 EST The evening animal care shift includes closing the farm. The time which you are here is flexible.: 17:00 to 18:00 EST
